Getting here
Rhodes International Airport is the starting point for the drive south to Selia. The route takes you past Faliraki, Afantou, Charaki and Kalathos, with beaches along the way before you reach Lardos.

Along the coast
Faliraki is one of the livelier stops on Rhodes' east coast, with a long sandy beach.
From here, the road continues south through smaller coastal areas, and the scenery becomes noticeably calmer as you head towards Lardos.

Along the coast
A coastal village on the east coast with a long beach and, close by, the island's golf course.
A calmer stretch of the drive, with the coast road running close to the sea.

Along the coast
Charaki is a small fishing village set around a curved bay, with Feraklos Castle on the hill above.
It makes an easy stop for a swim before continuing south towards Lardos.

Along the coast
Kalathos is a laid-back seaside village with a long beach and an easy coastal feel.
From here, Lardos is nearby, with Selia waiting on the beachfront just a little further south.

Arrival
Selia sits directly on the beach in Lardos, on Rhodes' southeast coast. The village keeps a local feel, with tavernas around the square and a long stretch of sand and pebble in front of the hotel.
Kanaloa Smart Cocktails & Dining sits right next to Selia, with Polynesian and Greek-inspired dishes, cocktails and full-service sunbeds by the sea. It works just as well for a long lunch as it does for drinks as the sun goes down.

Along the coast
Pefki is a relaxed coastal stop east of Lardos, with a small beach and tavernas close to the water.
It is an easy place to pause for an evening walk before continuing along the coast towards Lindos.

Day trip
Lindos is a whitewashed village of narrow lanes beneath its acropolis, with St Paul’s Bay tucked below the cliffs.
A short drive from Selia, it is one of the easiest places to pair with a day by the coast, with time for the acropolis, the village and a stop by the water.

Your base
Selia Hotel puts both sides of the southeast coast within easy reach, with Pefki and Lindos to the north and Kiotari, Gennadi and Prasonisi further south.
Spend the day along the coast, then return to Kanaloa next door for cocktails, dinner and a table by the sea.

South of Lardos
Kiotari stretches along the coast south of Lardos, with a wide beach and a long stretch of open shoreline.
It is an easy choice for a slower beach day and enough around to see before heading back towards Selia Hotel.

Further south
Gennadi sits just inland from a long sand-and-pebble beach, with open countryside stretching out behind the village.
Further south, the villages become fewer and the landscape more open as the road continues towards the island’s southern tip.

The southern tip
At the southern tip of Rhodes, Prasonisi is where a narrow stretch of sand meets open water on both sides, with a small islet just beyond.
The strong winds make it one of the island’s main spots for windsurfing and kitesurfing, and the drive south is part of the experience.
